EDUCATION

Today more than 8000 students are prepared in FTA. Studying process is provided by 524 teachers, 26 members and associate members of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 73 professors, 245 assistant professors. 30 teachers are honored men of science and techniques, honored higher school workers of Russian Federation.

The Forest Technical Academy represents a state educational institution which realizes higher and continuing professional education programs, provides training, additional training and advanced studies for specialists in all branches of forestry, forest, woodprocessing, pulp and paper, forest chemical industries.

The Academy offers several educational levels and terms of study: Bachelor level - 4 years, Diploma specialist level - 5 years, Master level - 6 years. Specialists in main scientific fields are trained at the post-graduate and the doctor study units.

For the last years large-scale repairing works have been implemented in the Academy, computerization and creation of a local network being on the final stage.
