STUDENTS LIFE 

Students life in the Academy is not only studying, they have wide possibilities to acquire experience in summer building detachments, to be engaged in amateur talent groups in numerous circles of FTA Club, to become active participants or fans of "Smart Club" team, or simply to have B good time on disco organized by student trade-union committee.

The Academy has several sport units in its disposal: a stadium, two-storied sport building, skiing center in Kavgolovo, Nothern (in Streltsovo) and Southern (in Adler) camps of Sport and Health.

1st - 4th year students have a possibility of free choice in sporting studies: to work at their sport development and to keep their fitness or to be engaged in some certain kind of sports.

Department of sporting improvement comprises 23 sport sections including all kinds of sport games, single-combats, alternative sports.

Section of motoring works in the Academy more than 40 years (since 1974). The team of Academy became a winner of city motor rally six times and four times became a winner of all-union rally. In 1993 Shapovalov, a student of FTA, has won a victory at the European Sport Motor Car Cup.

Section of motoring offers preparatory and advanced training for drivers of special transport anil instructors for driving schools. Students of FTA have a possibility to get license for driving cars, trolleys and tractors.

Today almost 49 of 600 students engaged in sports are international masters of sports and masters of sports of Russia, 167 students are the candidates for masters of sports, 217 are the first-category sportsmen.
